Very clean and well supplied. Apartment is very secure and only lacks a back up generator in case of loss of electric power which we experienced the morning we had to leave. Saying that, the owners had a good stock of candles readily available to reduce the bother. all in all a very good experience. ...

Our experience at Quinta LaMerced surpassed our wildest expectations. We travel annually as a group to various parts of the world. This was the first time that the actual accomodations surpassed the the marketing brochure.

1. Hotwater system was set to be OFF from 6 am to 10 am - I had to reset
2. very difficult to reach the office in GYE - called twice and did not get a return call [ re tours and re check-out]
3. description assumes internet is available - only internet connection was available ...

The glory of this home and the peaceful atmosphere should truely be realized by your own eyes! The setting is idyllic with lush gardens and rolling hills, lit with early sun and sprakling dew. Upon our arrival, which was much later then expected (We had a run around with our rental car) Luis, the caretaker, was there to greet us with warmth and ...

I am very happy we stayed here and would definitely stay here again. I probably wouldn't even bother looking for alternatives.
Location is excellent - a 2 or 3 minute walk from Plaza Grande on a nice typical side street.
Accommodations are clean, contemporary and very spacious.
Amenities were great - having the real CNN International ...

Quinta La Solana is a beautiful villa situated in a quiet, lush green valley outside of the hustle and bustle, pollution, and noise of Quito but close enough to be anywhere in town in 30-50 minutes. The position of the apartment in the beautiful old town of Quito is excellent. 5 min walk to restaurants, museums the presidential palace etc. Security is perfect as well with very well looked after building. Internet café in the same house.
But the best is the personal care from Maria, the owner of the apartment, whether you need shopping advice ...

This is a beautiful apartment, with phenomenal views of Guapulo, spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a thoughtful welcome basket, and an excellent selection of English-language books and movies.
